Thekua is a traditional sweet from Bihar and Jharkhand. A dough of wheat flour, a sweetener and ghee is pressed by hand in a wooden mould (the saancha) and fried golden. It is the much-loved offering of Chhath Puja, and a favourite chai-time snack all year round.

Three, all made with coconut and suji: Traditional (Coconut Suji, sweetened with sugar), Jaggery (Coconut Jaggery, sweetened only with jaggery) and Elaichi (Coconut Elaichi, with green cardamom, sweetened with sugar). Each comes in 250 g, 750 g and 1250 g packs, and in mix combos of 2 or 3 packs.

All three are made with whole wheat flour, suji, desiccated coconut, desi ghee, refined sunflower oil, cashew, almond, cardamom (elaichi) and fennel. Traditional and Elaichi are sweetened with sugar; Jaggery is sweetened with jaggery. The full ingredient list is printed on every pack.

Our thekua is made with desi ghee, together with refined sunflower oil, as listed on the pack. We never use palm oil, and we add no preservatives.

Jaggery Thekua is sweetened only with jaggery, with no refined sugar. Traditional and Elaichi Thekua are sweetened with sugar.

Wheat (gluten), milk (desi ghee) and tree nuts (cashew, almond). All three flavours also contain coconut. Our thekua is vegetarian and contains dairy. If you have an allergy, please check the pack before eating.

The best-before date is printed on every pack. Keep it in a cool, dry place away from sunlight and moisture. After opening, close the pouch tightly or move the thekua to an airtight container.

About 9–10 thekuas in each 250 g pack. Every piece is hand-pressed, so the count can vary slightly.

Delivery is free on every order, anywhere in India. If Cash on Delivery is available for your order, you will see it at checkout, with any COD fee, before you place the order.
