Two years ago, a simple moment sparked our revolution. Our founder saw a child longing for "thekua," a beloved traditional snack, at a street stall. He turned to his father and asked, "Is it safe to eat?" The answer was a hesitant "no"—it was likely unhygienic. Ignoring the warning, he tried it, only to fall ill the next day. That experience was a harsh but clear lesson on the urgent need for safe, clean food for everyone.
A Widespread Problem
The idea grew stronger during Chhath Puja. A friend shared a packet of homemade thekua. The taste was divine, but it highlighted a problem: this delicious snack was both expensive and available only during the festival season. A year later, he noticed the same pattern with other favourites like makhana and banana chips. They were either unhygienic, overpriced, or impossible to find year-round. The problem was bigger than just one snack.
